Marcus Crisostomo was born in December 1984 in the capital from Rio de Janeiro in Brazil and had his first contact with the instrument in 1996 the house of his deceased cousin Ítalo, but only started playing it at the end of 2000 in the time of the church with his first band with his friend Francisco Carllos.
The years went by, and he went through several bands until he met Clifer Rodrigues at an event in the CMF at Renascer Church of Santo Amaro (São Paulo) in February 2005 and formed the Katharos which means pure in Greek, it was a Christian heavy metal band and started to work in March 2005 and came to end in December 2007, as the band had not played nor practiced since January of that year.
Almost a year without playing anything, Marcus also met Daniel Cavalcante in December 2007 at an event in the CMF at Renascer Church in the Copan Building Center (São Paulo) and also formed the endways, Christian heavy metal.
As the project wasn´t ahead, Marcus decided to leave the band in January 2008 and also the scene of Christian Heavy Metal due to the great prejudice of the church in this movement in Brazil and did not believe that the heavy metal within the church is an instrument of great power.
A couple of months and then Marcus met Renata Ferreira (former lead singer of now defunct Candles band) in a community of Orkut in March 2008 where she was an ad looking for a drummer. He then contacted her and auditioned on tape and now, so that photos were taken with the band and their name posted on the official community of Candles on Orkut.
Time passed, nearly 15 songs taken in a month of band, appeared the first presentation that would be his first appearance in nearly 2 years without playing. This would happen in early May 2008 at Tribe House (São Paulo). But when there were two weeks for this show happen, a meeting was held at the end of a trial and decided to turn off the Marcus band. They've even had a drummer to replace him. There is no doubt of how much he was upset because he had the dedication of body and soul in this project from the drummer.
With his shutdown of Candles, there supposed 2 tests in 2 bands, but not as revenge, he decided to take a little time on musical projects for if more attention to their professional work as Web-Designer.
In August, again in 2008, he resumes his music projects a final and seeing the same blunder of musicians who call themselves professionals, he doesn´t gave up the idea of continuing with its project of life, since this was his biggest goal.
In September 2008, Marcus believes that after so many blunders and run-ins with players who had a different idea of their goals, he decided to set up your own project band and so it continued until January 2009 because he knew several musicians who would only give blunder with it, preventing your project to go forward.
In late January 2009, its design bandwidth is set aside for a moment, because the drummer was asked to design a cover of Poison by indication of his friend, Marcelo Almeida, Eniggma´s singer.
The band was called Sexual Thing and went through several changes before reaching its current configuration with the name change to Garrius and also its initial goal of doing a tribute to Danger Danger thus making it a real band with musicians and competent willing to do a well done job.
And the future?
From now on only God knows.
